Bio

Lisa has been teaching yoga for 21 years as her full time career and passion.  The style of yoga Lisa teaches, Yoga for the Seasons, is a Japanese form of yoga therapy. It integrates traditional Hatha yoga with the meridian-based healing arts of Japan and China and the Five Element theory. It offers a remarkably accurate and remedial system of healing and maintaining health.

Lisa is passionate about leading people to move their bodies to health.  Being involved with Yoga TV™ (which aired throughout Australian & overseas) Lisa founded YogaTV™ Body Movement Centre in Sydney to share yoga, in a tangible personal way. 10 years ago Lisa made the “sea change” and moved to Coffs Harbour. Lisa currently teaches classes, present public, corporate and school workshops, runs seasonal intensives and retreats.

Japanese Meridian Healing

This Japanese style of yoga is a Therapy form of Yoga that integrates traditional Hatha yoga with the Meridian Healing arts of Japan and China and the Five Element Theory. The Elements of Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth. In this session you will balance the Wood Element which is aligned to Spring time. The organ associated this season are the Liver and Gallbladder. We will strengthen these organs and balance the Chi (energy) through specific seasonal yoga movements. It’s a 60 minute class that includes a guided relaxation.

Physical Intensity: Medium – suitable for beginners

Mindful Movement

Does your head rule your body? Or is it your heart? This class, through yoga therapy asana, breath and awareness will create balance with your Mind Body and Heart allowing you to feel calm, centred, strong and supported. This session will have you moving, breathing, bringing awareness to the moments and guided relaxation.

Physical Intensity: Medium – suitable for beginners
